NEW YORK, NY (US)
Located in New York City’s Meatpacking District, Cielo was a Manhattan nightclub that blended modernity with retro style, a self-proclaimed “mature” experience designed purely for music and dancing. Cielo was an intimate space—holding about 300 people—armed with a Funktion One soundsystem and a specially designed sunken dance floor, decked out with warm-hued tones bathed in an extensive lighting system. Opened by Nicolas Matar, resident DJ of Pacha Ibiza, and partner Philippe Rieser, Cielo hosted some of the best DJs in the world on a sound system that was every audiophile’s dream. The state-of-the-art club was designed by Dupoux Design.
Cielo closed its doors officially in 2016
